Sayzi Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Sayzi (“we,” “us,” or “our”), a language learning mobile application and website available at sayzi.app. By accessing or using the Sayzi app, website, or related services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”).

Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use Sayzi.


1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Sayzi, you confirm that you:

  • Are at least 16 years old,
  • Have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, and
  • Agree to our Privacy Policy, which governs how we collect and use your data.

2. Use of the Sayzi App

You may use Sayzi only for personal, non-commercial, educational purposes, and in accordance with these Terms.

You agree:

  • Not to misuse the app (e.g., reverse engineering, spamming, automated scraping).
  • Not to upload offensive, harmful, or unlawful content.
  • To keep your login credentials secure and not share your account.

3. Account and User Data

You are responsible for your Sayzi account. If you suspect unauthorized access or misuse, notify us immediately at support@sayzi.app.

Use of your data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which includes details on data collection, storage, and rights under applicable laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).


4. Intellectual Property

All Sayzi content—including lessons, mascots (e.g., Pip), illustrations, audio, and branding—is owned by Sayzi or its licensors and protected by copyright and trademark laws.

You may not:

  • Copy, reproduce, or redistribute any part of the app or website.
  • Use Sayzi’s name, logo, or assets without prior written permission.

5. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

Some features of Sayzi are free; others require a subscription or one-time payment. By purchasing, you agree that:

  • Fees are non-refundable unless required by law.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled before the renewal date.
  • Your payment provider’s terms apply.

All pricing is listed in local currency and may be subject to taxes or foreign exchange fees.


6. User-Generated Content

You may be able to create or upload content (e.g., recordings or text responses). You retain ownership, but grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to use this content to operate and improve Sayzi.

You are responsible for the content you submit and agree not to submit anything infringing or unlawful.


7. Third-Party Services

Sayzi may integrate with third-party services (e.g., login tools, analytics). We are not responsible for their content or functionality. Your use of those services is subject to their terms and policies.


8. Availability and Changes

We aim to provide a stable service, but we may:

  • Suspend or restrict the app for maintenance or updates,
  • Modify features or content without prior notice,
  • Discontinue services in part or whole.

We are not liable for service interruptions or loss of data.


9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Sayzi is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:

  • Indirect or incidental damages,
  • Data loss,
  • Educational outcomes,
  • Content generated by users or AI.
  • Your sole remedy is to stop using Sayzi.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or misuse the platform.


11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. We'll notify you of significant changes via the app or website. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.


12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Western Australia, Australia, without regard to conflict of law principles. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Western Australia to resolve any legal matter arising from these Terms or your use of Sayzi.
