4. Voice Recordings and AI Processing

Collection and Use
When you use Sayzi, we record, process, and store your voice for language learning, feedback, analytics, and improvement.


AI Processing
Your voice is processed by automated (AI-based) systems. While we aim for accuracy and usefulness, AI outputs may not always be correct, complete, or suitable for your situation. They are intended to support learning, not replace professional judgment.

Insights and Research
We may anonymize and aggregate voice recordings and transcripts to:

  • improve and personalize Sayzi
  • develop new features and services
  • train and enhance AI models
  • generate insights, analytics, or reports for research, educational, and commercial purposes
  • These uses will never personally identify you.

Storage and Retention
Voice recordings are securely stored and retained for as long as your account is active.

  • If you cancel your account, recordings are deleted within one (1) year.
  • If you request deletion, data is deleted within thirty (30) days.

Sharing
Recordings are not shared with third parties except:

  • where required to deliver the service (e.g., hosting, AI processing),
  • as anonymized and aggregated datasets for research or commercial purposes,
  • where legally required, or
  • with your explicit consent.


5. Single Sign-On (SSO)

If you register or log in with an SSO provider (Google, Apple, Facebook), we may receive your name, email, and profile photo as permitted by your provider and the permissions you grant.

Your use of SSO is governed by the provider’s privacy policy. You may disconnect SSO at any time, though this may limit your access to certain features.



6. Data Security and Encryption

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data:

  • Encryption in transit and at rest
  • Technical and organizational safeguards to prevent unauthorized access, loss, or misuse

While we take reasonable steps, no system is 100% secure. Please contact us with any concerns.

  • Data is retained only as long as necessary

If you interact with Sayzi on social media, we may collect your public profile information and content, in line with platform settings.
User-generated content may be featured for promotional purposes, subject to your consent where required.



11. International Data Transfers


To deliver services, your personal data may be processed and stored in countries outside your own, including North America and other locations where our trusted providers operate.


Where required by law (e.g., EU GDPR), we rely on approved legal mechanisms such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or their equivalent to safeguard international data transfers.


Some AI and analytics providers may process anonymized or aggregated voice data outside your country, under the same safeguards.


12. Children’s Privacy


Sayzi is not intended for children under 16, or the minimum age required by local law.
We do not knowingly collect data from children below this age without parental consent. If you believe we have done so, please contact us for deletion.



13. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

  • access your personal data
  • correct or delete your data
  • restrict or object to processing
  • data portability
  • withdraw consent at any timelodge a complaint with a data protection authority

    Please note that requests to delete your account or data will not affect our continued use of anonymized or aggregated data that does not personally identify you. Certain data (such as login details) may also be required to maintain your account; deletion of such data may require account closure.

14. Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to provide and improve the Sayzi service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

  • Voice recordings, transcripts, and performance data are retained for the life of your account. They are used to:
    • personalize your learning experience,
    • provide feedback and progress tracking, and
    • improve the overall service.
  • If you cancel your account, all associated recordings and related data will be deleted within one (1) year.
  • If you request deletion, we will delete all relevant data within thirty (30) days.
  • Data from competitions, marketing, and communications is retained only as long as needed for those purposes.

We may continue to use anonymized and aggregated data (which does not identify you personally) for research, analytics, and product improvement even after your account or personal data is deleted.



15. Third-Party Services and Subprocessors

Sayzi relies on trusted third-party service providers for hosting, authentication, analytics, payments, and AI processing. These providers may process personal data only to deliver their services, under confidentiality and security obligations.

We may also share anonymized and aggregated data with educational, research, or commercial partners. We do not sell personal data.

Categories of subprocessors include:

  • Cloud hosting and storage providers
  • Speech recognition and AI technology providers
  • Authentication/login providers
  • Analytics and crash reporting providers
  • Payment processors
